About the Role
Currently seeking a Cloud/DevOps System Engineer to join the Cyber Operations Division within the Cyber and Technology Security Directorate (CTS). The Systems Engineering & Architecture program conducts market research on emerging threats, mitigation strategies, and relevant cybersecurity technologies as well as administers product evaluations, and provides engineering expertise supporting the integration and adoption of new cybersecurity solutions.
Responsibilities
- Play a vital role in integrating Cribl into our infrastructure while leveraging Azure cloud services and ServiceNow to bolster our cybersecurity efforts.
- Perform Azure Cloud Administration:

- Manage and optimize Azure resources: storage, networking, compute, and Identity Access Management (IAM).
Architect, deploy, and optimize Azure cloud solutions, implementing security best practices and compliance protocols.
- Manage and optimize Azure resources: storage, networking, compute, and Identity Access Management (IAM).
- Need to have Terraform Proficiency:

- Modify and work with Terraform modules for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployments.
- Perform Application Migration:

- Lead migration projects of on-premises applications and servers to Azure, including configuration, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Need to have and apply Systems Administration Experience:

- Solid background in IT systems administration or systems engineering with exposure to Cisco, VMware, clusters, and server management.
- Utilize Version Control and Automation:
-
- Utilize GIT for version control; implement automation using Ansible and Azure DevOps.

- Basic scripting knowledge in PowerShell and Bash for process automation.
- Overall:

- Have proven experience in cybersecurity operations, specifically with Cribl, Azure, and ServiceNow.

- Have strong understanding of cloud security principles and incident management workflows.

- Have familiarity with threat intelligence frameworks and data analytics methodologies.

- Have demonstrated excellent communication and documentation skills.
Qualifications: Basic Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 9 years’ of relevant experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of the degree requirement.
- Ability to obtain/maintain prior to start date ONE of the following certifications:
- CASP+ CE, CCNA Cyber Ops, CCNA-Security, CCNP Security, CEH, CFR, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), Cloud+, CySA+, GCED, GCIA, GCIH, GICSP, SCYBER, VCA DCV, PPDA, Agile IC, SNOW App Dev.
- Have Crible, Azure Cloud, ServiceNow and Terraform experience.
- Have systems administration or systems engineering experience with exposure to Cisco, VMware, clusters, and server management.
- Experience with Version Control and Automation.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- An active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a final Top Secret clearance.
Preferred Requirements
- Familiarity with Docker and container orchestration.
- Understanding of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices.
